What is not allowed anywhere else is possible with us. At the Tulip Picking Garden Marknesse, you pick your own Tulips.
As soon as the first tulip blooms, you are welcome to wander through the garden, enjoy it, and pick yourself.

Upon entering our Tulip Picking Square, the party starts right away. You get picking advice and can buy a bucket that you can fill with Tulips yourself.
The Tulip Picking Garden covers 5,000 square metres and an average of 500,000 tulips are planted each year.

What varieties and colours are in the picking garden? So many that we have lost count. As soon as the tulips bloom, there is a true explosion of colour. What we do know is that new buds and colours are added every day during the flowering period.

In the middle of the Tulip Picking Garden stands a 5-metre high observation tower with views over the polder and the old harbour town of Blokzijl. Between the tulips, you.

In the ‘Boerenbol’ you can buy coffee baskets or picnic hampers.

Have you finished picking? You'll find our catering at the Tulip Picking Square. The Boerenbol offers a terrace with views of the tulips, a trampoline, and toys for the kids. Coffee and tea with something sweet, sandwiches, ice cream, and of course, the first fresh Dutch strawberries from the polder.
