Tulip picking garden Marknesse

What is not allowed anywhere else is possible with us. At the Tulip Picking Garden Marknesse, you pick your own Tulips.
As soon as the first tulip blooms, you are welcome to stroll through the garden, enjoy and pick your own.

Upon entering our Tulip Picking Square, the party starts right away. You get picking advice and can buy a bucket that you can fill with Tulips yourself.
The Tulip Picking Garden covers 5,000 square metres and an average of 500,000 tulips are planted each year.

What varieties and colours are in the picking garden? So many that we have lost count. As soon as the tulips bloom, there is a true explosion of colour. What we do know is that new buds and colours are added every day during the flowering period.

In the middle of the Tulip Picking Garden is a 5-metre-high watchtower overlooking the polder and the old harbour town of Blokzijl. Between the tulips are several picnic areas, where you can enjoy the peace and quiet, a nice snack or a drink. At the Boerenbol, you can order coffee baskets or picnic bags.

Are you done picking. At the Tulip Picking Square you will find our catering facilities. De Boerenbol with terrace overlooking the tulips, trampoline and toys for the kids. Coffee/tea with sweets, sandwiches, ice cream and of course the first fresh Dutch strawberries from the polder.
