Tulip Picking Garden – Marknesse

What is not allowed anywhere else, is possible with us. At the Tulip Picking Garden Marknesse you pick your own Tulips.
As soon as the first tulip blooms you are welcome to walk through the garden, enjoy and pick your own.

Upon entering our Tulip Picking Square, the party begins immediately. You will receive picking advice and can purchase a bucket that you may fill with Tulips yourself.
The Tulip Picking Garden is 5000 m2 and an average of 500,000 tulips are planted each year.

What varieties and colors are in the picking garden – so many that we have lost count. As soon as the tulips bloom there is a true explosion of color. What we do know is that during the flowering period new buds and colors are added every day
In the middle of the Tulip Picking Garden is a 5-meter high watchtower with a view over the polder and the old harbor town of Blokzijl. Among the tulips are several picnic areas where you can enjoy the peace and quiet, a nice snack or a drink. At the Boerenbol you can order coffee baskets or picnic bags.

Are you done picking. At the Tulip picking square you will find our catering facilities. The Boerenbol with terrace overlooking the tulips, trampoline and toys for the kids. Coffee / tea with some goodies, sandwiches, ice cream and of course the first fresh Dutch strawberries from the polder.
