Those who visit the Tulpenfestival Noordoostpolder in the spring may know Firma Van Meer at Creilerpad 14 in Creil from the Tulpenbelevingsveld. In December, the company will reopen its doors to visitors, this time during the Verlichte Boerderijenroute Noordoostpolder.
While colorful tulips are the focus in spring, visitors this winter will have the opportunity to take a peek behind the scenes at the tulip cultivation farm. A wonderful chance to experience this familiar location in a completely different way!
Discover the Noordoostpolder in a different light
The Illuminated Farm Route takes place every two years and literally puts the rural area of the Noordoostpolder into the spotlight. During the approximately 40-kilometer-long drive, visitors travel past about one hundred beautifully illuminated farms, workers’ houses, waterworks, and other special locations.
An accompanying audio tour tells more about the history of the polder, the agricultural businesses and the developments in the area along the way.
The Illuminated Farm Route takes place on 11, 12, 13, 17, 18, 19 and 20 December 2026, Every day from 16:30 to 22:00. On December 17, there will be a low-stress edition with only the illuminated route and audio tour, without company visits.
