Profytodsd has renewed its commitment to the Tulip Festival North East Polder for the next three years. The sponsorship agreement marks a further collaboration between the agricultural sector and the event.
According to the organisers of the Tulip Festival, the multi-year collaboration offers scope for further development of the festival. Profytodsd has been involved with the event since 2014.
Logo visible from the air
As part of the collaboration, a striking project will be carried out on Tuesday. The logo of the Tulip Festival will be created on a grass plot using precision agriculture techniques. This involves the use of precision technology whereby specific parts of the field are treated based on their location, creating a temporarily visible pattern.
The result must be visible from the air, so that no one will fly past the Noordoostpolder unnoticed. With the project, the initiators want to show how modern agricultural techniques are used with extreme precision and how precision agriculture plays an important role today in both conventional and organic bulb cultivation.

The organisation expects to welcome approximately 60,000 – 90,000 visitors to the Noordoostpolder again this year. An extensive programme can be found on the festival's website and app.
Follow the Van Staveren Motorway (102 km), cycle the Specsavers Cycle Route (33 km), discover the Tulip Festival locations, including the new festival location Tulpenpluktuin Marknesse, or view the Tulip Mosaic in all villages themed ’A New Beginning’.
Children's activities with Teddy the Bear
There's also plenty for children to do. Go on an adventure with Bollie the Bear. Along the way, you can visit four locations to collect your (free) Tulip Passport. In this passport, you'll gather tasks to complete along the route and at the locations. Collect as many answers as possible and earn a Tulip Diploma!
